In many respects Kinect is closer to a touch screen than it is to the Wiimote, do you get what I mean? The major difference really is that Kinect acts as if the TV is the touch screen whereas the NES 6 has it's own smaller touch screen. They both have similarities and advantages and disadvantages. I cannot really say that one is better than the other at everything only that at this point they both have their place and the NES 6 one is probably the most practical, although it remains to be seen what Microsoft manages to do with Kinect in the mean time to prove it's worth as an alternative control scheme. I believe that both could even co-exist as interfaces to computers/consoles although you probably wouldn't want both at the same time due to overlap. Im not sure how to comment on games/market conditions as it's all speculative at this time for both interfaces. |
Totally agree.
As for the bolded bit all I keep hearing is what Kinect is capable of.
I do not doubt that it is capable of some amazing stuff but the time is coming when I don't want to be hearing about what it is capable of anymore, I want to be seeing and experiencing. I am pretty sure I won't be disappointed but I am no seer.
As you pointed out the forthcoming nintendo system does bring some "new" interesting factors onboard and I am eagerly awaiting E3 for these to be clarified.
