Well I said it wouldn't cost significantly more when the royalty costs were removed from consideration. They would save some money if they chose not to have backwards compatibility with the Gamecube. As for the rest of the components the only major increase in cost is likely the I.P. of the components rather than the actual cost of the machine. Infact I would bet real money that the NES 6 will cost less to manufacture than the PS3 when it is released, controllers inclusive.
