Changing the controller is actually quite brilliant if you think about it so long as they maintain compatibility with said controller. If people already own 2-3 Wiimotes then they have a pretty good incentive to buy their system, and if people don't have Wiimotes they probably aren't interested in motion controls so it's no loss for them to abandon the control scheme for those people.
