i'm pissed about this cuz i'm a runner and while most people thought athens 2004 sucked we loved that in college. we also played international track superstar or whatever it was called for dreamcast a lot freshman year in college. the only thing i was interested in athens was the track and field events but i was very much looking foward to a new olympics game with motion controls with the actual countries and everything, you know a real olympic game and not just a mario and sonic version of the olympics. and while mario and sonic as a whole is better than athens in that a lot of the events are fun and its got more depth to it, it didn't have that many track events and so to me isn't nearly as fun cuz thats all i want, and it had no online. athens track events were awesome if you like track. m&s is good overall but doesn't have that many track events, no real olympic game on wii means i'll have to stick to playing athens when i was looking foward to sweet motion controls in track.
that said, the olympic game will not sell well and i understand them not wanting to make a second olympic game on the wii when they already have the really popular m&s. but i was very much looking foward to an online wii version of beijing. would have been an automatic buy for me.
