Practical Uses for Screen on Controller

The point i was making is that looking down at my controler takes away from the game. There is now way to play games competevly if you are looking down at the controller for things that could simply be on the regular screen. 

Like someone said it can be used to clean up the hud in alot of games like fighters and some shooters. im sure nintendo has some ideas if it is coming with a screen on the controller. Seems to be more possibilities than not.
