you cant expect the same quality game with considerably lower hardware specifications and that will impact sales to a certain extent.

wii2 will have the lead for a year or two (in terms of hardware power) but that time wont be worth investing in since it will have a low install base. 3rd party developers would rather just make 360/ps3 (100m install base) ports for wii2 until ps4/x720 comes out.

being first to release a next gen console has both advantages and disadvantages.

That's why I say if they do that, they can go you-know-where, since it shows they wouldn't support Nintendo properly no matter what, or the public in the event the system still outsells those later systems.

thats correct, as long as nintendo keep producing hardware which isnt as powerful as its competitors, it will get inferior versions of games (if any at all). its an obvisous fact. you cant expect the same quality game with half the hardware no matter how much time or money you throw at it.

If nintendo's next system is as powerful as the next xbox or ps3, i would bet my life it would get identical versions of multiplatform games.

I think that if Nintendo brings out a system that is powerful and easy to create games on, then it would get better support. The Wii was easy to develope for, but was weaker than the other systems in the market, and that is a problem to most developers. If the Wii was closer in power but still weaker than the other systems, it would most likely have PS2 like support and be a monster thoughout the generation.
