I liked this post in that Pistonheads thread: "the Wii is a bit like driving a mini cooper and getting excited by its cuteness and kart handling, then jumping into a GT3 and suddenly you realise the mini is actually a bucket of shit."

Meanwhile, the vast majority of the market is just using a car to get somewhere.

Edit: I'm going to spell out my analogy for you, because you strike me as the kind of person who needs things spelled out for him. If you don't like my condescending tone, you can feel free to drop your own.

There is a small subset of people who are car enthusiasts. They like cars just because they have a powerful engine, a sleek design, and all those other cool car attributes. To them, cars are an end in themselves.

Everybody else just uses cars to get around. The only reason they have a car, is because they have places they want to go, and they'd like to get there quickly, easily, and reliably. To them, cars are a means to an end.

In our video game analogy, the destination is fun. A very select few think that the way they get there is important. That the vehicle you take is just as important as the destination.

Everybody else just wants to get there quickly, easily and reliably.
