I think Nintendo will have a better time with third parties once they get their platform on par with the others. The golden "money hat" days are over. It's existance was due to MS determination to prevent any toe hold Sony hoped to get with a non-Windows OS in the living room. By now it's obvious that the real threat is Apple's mobil and now the XBOX expected to make money on it's own. Therefor a major headwind is subsiding for Big N.
