| Gojimaster said: Nintendo just needs to release a system that is moderately more powerfuly than 360/PS3. Consumers aren't going to adopt a TV with greater resolution than 1080P for a long time. The main improvement the next gen needs to provide is more memory and consistent 1080P at 60hz. The more memory is clearly needed so consoles can have run games like the PC version of Battlefield 3 with the large maps and multiplayer counts. The point of diminishing returns has already arrived in video games. There isn't much point of 360/PS3 massively improving performance of the PS3 and 360. It will be too expensive, and games will become too expensive to develop. I personally think that PS3 and 360 games have been looking great lately and there is only minimal improvements that need to be done on their next gen consoles. I'm intersted to see what Nintendo can do. As I learned this generation, there wasn't too much of a point in owning a PS3 and a 360. In the next gen I only want to own 1 console-- and I hope Nintendo is powerful enough to fit this demand for me. I don't want another neglected Wii experience. In the 6th generation the Playstation 2 was obviously not as powerful as the Xbox, but it still attracted all the great games and stayed the most popular. I hope Nintendo can duplicate this feat. |
Mah boy! *HI5*
This is pretty much what I want too. Nintendo's console to have hardware for next gen ports and a great online system so I can just have one console with Ninty first party and third party support.
Then one console would be fine for me.
