You know what? I have a genuine Celebi on Crystal as well. Crystal was also the last pokemon game I ever played.

Has Crystal's battery run out for you yet? By the looks of things I'm one of the few with it functioning. You lose your save when it dies.

Concerning the later Pokemon games, you weren't missing much except for the soundtracks.

It has been very much up, since i havent used it much at all either. I know I played it jsut a few months ago.
