The biggest thought provoking action is choosing which 3 weapons ( /- 1 depending on the game) to hold onto because console controllers suck at handling more than 5 guns. It's about perspective. I don't think console shooters are necessarily worse than PC shooters, just different. I miss stuff like the original F.E.A.R., Half-Life 2, & Unreal Championship, yes, but some console shooters are good enough that they don't have to replicate what the PC has.


Yeah but I see that very same difference, the hand-holding, as negative for gaming. What we need is for games to be games, not quasi-movies.
