You have brutally underrated FFX, and overrated IV and XII so I'll ignore the whole lineup ;)

PErsonally, I thoroughly enjoyed every FF game I've played with the exception of 13, the only ones I've not played are IV (waiting for this compilation to get it), V (I don't know why), XI, and XIV (I refuse to play MMORPG's) 

For me:  VI > VII=X=XII > VIII = IX > I > X-2 > III > II

I'm not even gonna get into the tactics and crystal chronicles games or the dozens of VII spinoffs or Dissidia.  

VI is my alltime favorite game, VII, X, and XII are tied for my 5th favorite game (my second tier FF games), and VIII and IX are tied for 11th favorite game of all time.  I really like me some Final Fantasy.
