It's not a major franchise like GT5 so it's not immune from it. C- The characters just aren't that engaging enough. Sev can't compare to Kratos, Marcus Fenix, Master Chief or Nathan Drake. The name Sevchenko is Eastern European which will put off the English speaking world (which is a large chunk of the games buying public). Could do worse though like calling him Jamal or Mustafa Ali. D- The story is too disjointed and all over the place. It lacks the epic feel of some of the other games. Also it lacks emotional impact. And no one can remember the main theme. E- The controls are a big improvement on KZ2 but still has a heft which puts off the millions of shooter fans that are used to fast COD controls for MP. |
I agree with A,B,and E. Last time I checked gears had a crap story as well but still sell's well. I think the story is not bad and pretty understandable but then again not epic. And they put his name as Sev which can be american and he doesn't have a british or european accent.
