Well, you;re right, but not necessarily. Those genetical problems contribute to gentic variety, which is a godo thing. And you don't have to sterlize people with AIDS. All you have to do is isolate them from society.

Not really. You can get genetic variety without the genetic diseases. There is a reason why genetic diseases die out in every other race.
Also, yeah, you could isolate people with aids, though they'd still have children... and we'll it'd still be an awful thing to do.
Humanity more or less has broken the chain of evolution. Surivival of the fittist doesn't really happen anymore, even if it would be "logical."
There are plenty of things that could be done from current knowledge to make a more logical society.... they would mostly all suck though, and that's why we don't do them.
