Well, back on topic...

I'm sad that Monster Hunter 3DS wasn't announced. But there is definitely still hope, and it's possible that Capcom would delay a multiplatform launch for the NGP and 3DS until early 2012. That would give them a fair amount of time. In that case, Capcom would likely announce in Japan later this month, and the localization at E3, maybe.

And let's face it...This current console generation is coming to an end. It's useless at this point to whine about the Wii's third party lineup. While the PS3 and 360 may be able to squeeze some more life out of their lineups, the Wii successor should be announced before 2012, and once it is announced, I'm sure that Microsoft and Sony will follow suit. I wouldn't be surprised if the new generation started in 2012.

And remember, everyone, Nintendo has a very good track record, so one little potential misstep with the 3DS launch isn't the end of the world. I'd expect a price drop for the 3DS once the NGP is released.
