I think pretty much everything important has been said already. To put it short, used games are a lesser evil but they are a necessary evil. It's my right to buy and sell used games.
Also, I don't think I'm going to buy any game that uses the online pass system any time soon. In fact, unless the game is unbelievably awesome (hasn't happened yet I think), I think I'm boycotting it if it uses online pass. Publishers say 'fuck you' to me, I say 'fuck you' to them. The same goes for DRM and piracy.
