I have some pretty strong feelings about Wes Craven.
He made some masterpieces in his earlier career like Last House On The Left, The Hills Have Eyes, and the original A Nightmare On Elm Street. He also made some very good ones like Serpent And The Rainbow.
The first Scream movie was a fairly amusing parody of the types of movies that he made. The second Scream was not as amusing. The third, unwatchable. I also feel that the Scream series is responsible for a lot of fairly tame slasher films that followed it where the actresses don't get nude (see I Know What You Did Last Summer).
I also don't like the fact that he is producing remakes of his older fims to make cash.
So with all of that: No, I won't be seeing Scream 4 in the theater, but will watch it when it eventually comes on television and probably hate it.
