The 3DS would break within a few weeks or months. The analog would get worn out pretty quickly.

I don't know about, Nintendo has a history of making reliable controllers. In my twenty plus years of gaming, the only controller I ever had break on me was an N64 analog stick, and that was because Mario Party literally grinded it down to a dust, and the dust not only clogged it, but the smaller ball had troubles staying striaght.

Their controllers are reliable, true, especially when they are dropped. Try playing over a thousand hours of melee, both competitively, and for fun, for 6 years. My first controller I ever bought for my gamecube cannot be used because the stick is worn out and cannot stay straight. Maybe I was being too hard on it :D

See, it's rare. My gamecube controllers are all fine, just that 1 N64 controller. All my nintendo handhelds work perfectly, and I've spilled hot chocolate on my GBC. Not a problem.

My 360, first MS console, already has one controller with a broken A button, and one controller with a worn, but useable by only me, controller. Also I'm on my 4th 360, all under warrenty, but still a hastle, and thanks to an extended best buy warrenty I have an HDMI model.

My PS1,2, and 3 all broke on me, but to be fair they were ALL first gen models, and I think 1 or 2 PS1 controllers also went on me. Also my PS1 and 2 lasted most of the gen, and my PS2 still works on select games, and only if they are completly absent of scratches (laser is broken).

Yeah I've had issues on my PS controllers as well. I've had literally about 20 controllers for that damn thing. Maybe some of those may have be counterfit... I will never know because I was young at the time and couldn't tell between what was fake and real. So far, my Wii controllers are the most durable. Not a single problem on the ones that I own. Glad... All those hours of Monster Hunter didn't ware em out :D
