1. They don't cost nothing. That's a myth by people who want to put down those games.

2. They made and launched the 3DS. Plus they are still working on big games like Zelda.

How are they the biggest videogame publisher on earth. Amount of money made =/= size of the company. They don't have that many studios and they are launching the 3DS. Sony on the other hand has 14 studios,  and focuses most of their attention to the PS3.  Microsoft has even less studios than Nintendo, and is their lineup stacked? The main reason that their game lineup isn't the best is because their studios are busy with the 3DS.
