From every report I've heard, Rocket, Wii Fit is a serious workout and can really kick people's ass. Have you heard differently? Because I've heard anecdotal reports from 4-5 people and ALL of them agreed that it can give you a workout.

But yeah, I don't mean to make this harder for you, because I agree, it's tough attacking one of Nintendo's major franchises here. From what I've heard, it may or may not be fun, but it's definitely exercise.

I've heard the same, Bod. From people who think a bit of cardio is a workout. I admit that I'm not in the greatest shape but if I can turn and twist enough, I can do it.

Either way, that's not my real point. My point lies in that I don't think Westerners will pay $350+ for a workout "machine" they can't find readily and that Wii Fit will suffer from it and ultimately not sell well in the Western world because it requires multiple devices that might not be purchased at the same time.

There is a lot to be said about exercise equipment and impulse purchases. The Wii and Wii Fit do not exactly squeeze into either category.

This is a reasonable argument, Rocket, and I was trying hard not to discredit it. I only wanted to confront one of your talking points, not all of them. I don't necessarily disagree with anything else you said.

It is a good point, but that's probably why WiiFit is now listed as coming TBA 2008.  They want to make sure they have adequate supply for the demand they'll create first.
