Quoted for truth. I hadn't thought of that, though it sounds obvious once you say it. Once consumers are satisfied the brand name starts to have an effect on future purchases - something worked once, lets not risk a deviation. Perhaps had the DS failed then Nintendo would have changed up the brand image.
Makes me wonder now how much different the next iteration of the Wii will look...
