My main concern about the future of the 3DS is whether or not the majority of games will end up being 3D (I mean, 3D gameplay, not the stereoscopic 3D), basically turning the system into a portable N64/GC.
If that happens, there´s no way the 3DS will be able to replicate the success its predecessor has enjoyed.
That´s why I´m really curious to see Castlevania, Contra and others for the system...they´re being made, and if they´re 3D I´ll be extremely disappointed.
I wish handhelds (at least the ones from Nintendo) just remain more like a portable SNES, leave the more complex 3D gameplay to home consoles.
