I can only think that this the reason why Nintendo is busy mkaing another R&D close to their headquarters, in my opinion they've been trying plan this out since Retro's chains of succes. And seeing how Eurocom hit with GoldenEye, they're probably saying that their are maybe more western company that can nail Nintendo's philosophies if they are willing enough to be guided by the big N and for 2nd/3rd parties justify not to compete in sales.
Hmm, feels like I'm just paraphrasing in the end there...
