"we", "they", how old are you guys? Really? Or do you have any affiliation with those companies?

And "they" would be right btw, every single multiplatform game sells better on PS3 when compared to Wii or 360. That's a fact, the numbers don't lie.

Don't read anymore than that into it.  And no, not all games do sell better on the hd consoles than the wii.  there are plenty of examples of games selling better or same on wii.


I didn't even say HD consoles, I said PS3 only, and please enlighten me. NMH is the only example I can think of and that was a late port of a game that heavily utilized motion controls on the Wii. So go ahead, enlighten me. Please keep in mind that this is for Japan only.

Im sure theres more but is there even that many games that are the same between them? There is very few times where 100% always, never, is true.

Be more precise please, a "Sonic" game can be many different games just like a "Mario" game can.

Rune Factory Oceans and SB3 are the same game. ToG and ToGF is also a fair comparison as is SW3 and SW3Z and SW3L.

Its Sonic Unleased have to copy paste whole thing to see the numbers.

I was hoping for MC numbers, but I'll give you that one. A couple of things to take into consideration, the game released months later on the PS3 and that was during a time when the PS3 was 39,990Y and fat and selling 7k a week.

lets not bring in excuses.  like you said not many are multiplate between the two.  most that i see taht are, are games like lego ones or as said sonic.  and those do sell more on the wii.  or guitar hero, dance, games ect.

lets look how this upcoming resident evil 4 games does.  both were OLD ports of a gamecube game that is way old.  the wii sold really well, though of course not sure on japan ONLY, since that seems to be your argument.

but still just hate the people saying "such and such would have sold more on said console"  especially when said game sold the best it ever has in the series on the console it released on. 

No excuse, just facts. GH, Dance games sell like ass in Japan. This is a thread about Japan. RE4 was not released on PS3 and will be a download only title, so that's irrelevant. Let me recap this for you:

1) Sonic Unleashed only has week 1 MC numbers which is what I wanted. I'll accept the VGC numbers and according to it, Sonic sold better on Wii, I gave you that, even though the Wii version released 3 months earlier during the Holiday period. Really this just proves an exception to the rule, like SO4 360-PS3. An old port of a bad game sells bad.

2) At that time, the PS3 was selling like shit and was fat. Fact. Despite that, had the game launched at the same time, there's a good chance the PS3 version would've outsold it.

3) Newer multiplat games sell better on PS3. Fact. RFO, SB3 and even late ports like ToG and SW3 sold better on PS3. Sometimes as high as 3-1.

4) I'm not arguing that some multiplat games sell better on the Wii WW, but this is a JP thread, so keep on topic and stop bringing irrelevant games in Japan like GH.

I really do wish MHTriG is announced for PS3 and Wii with a simultaneous release. If that happens, I would be willing to make a bet with anyone here that the PS3 version outsells it, that's despite the fact that the Wii has a 5 million userbase advantage, has had MHG and MHTri on it (MH fans bought the system) and would probably launch at a cheaper price. This is not fanboyism, this is not favoritism, this is just looking at the market and seeing how it's behaving.

So let me get this straight, we have to ignore games that were released when the ps3 was fat back in the day cause the ps3 was not popular then

so then why would have monster hunter tri sold better on the ps3.  was that not during its fat shitty days?

there is no fact in discussing the fat days of ps3.  fact is, they released on the wii and it sold amazing.  there is absolutely NO FACTS to support how it woudl do on ps3.  the wii version sold more than any playstation home console ever sold in regards to monster hunter.  that is fact.
