In all honesty, Nintendo would be just as wise, if not more, to invest in the right people. This is especially true in Japan where there has been such a massive exodus of AAA developers from their respective companies...
If Nintendo were really keen on snatching up these developers, they could've offered lucrative positions to Yuju Naka, Hironobu Sakaguchi, Keiji Inafune, Tomonobu Itagaki, Keita Takahashi and others.
These men are more than capable of building up their own teams once given the funds. I would have especially liked to see Yuju Naka (Sonic, NiGHTS) and Takahashi (Katamary series) running another Intelligent Systems type of studio..
That would ROCK!
