Down here in Louisiana, we state without Mississippi we'd be last in everything haha.  If there is ever a rating of anything, LA is 49 and MS is 50.  Got to love them for that.

Living down in the deep south, doesn't really surprise me too much.  No one is going to deny down here that the old guard still exists.  But I'd say there are a lot more good people down here than ones like those.  I know everyone likes to say we are backwards down here but we really are nice people... lot nicer than those yankees haha.  The old guard is dying off and the south is becoming a lot more progressive in their social standards.  I would think if that poll was done 10 years ago it might have been over 60% so some progress.
