I'm wondering if they're not doing something similar to Sonic Unleashed, where they advertised it heavily as an HD game and ignored the Wii version as well

This is kind of what I'm thinking.  I believe that they're marketing it for the PS3 and 360 because they know that it will sell well on the Wii.
