Depends on what you mean by finish, I got to the plus quests online, in singleplayer I had issues with that damn Barroth (SP?) the flying sabertooth tiger lol I hate fighting him so much I never beat the actual boss even though it would be easy with the equipment I have.

The end boss is very difficult, and since there's nothing else coming out now, you should go back and finish it! That's what I've done. Just need to kill Alatreon and I'm done 
Barioth (Barroth is the mud one) is fairly gay, admittadly. You need SnS, or switch axe at the very most really...

I've got my trusty switch axe the problem being is an element that is counter to his, mine is just mainly for stunning, I'm keeping it that way until I can build up materials to make it one of the best switch axes in the game.
Also I have literally zero practice with Sword and Shield lol I don't even forge the damn things... usually with Barioths I'm playing online and one person can get it's attention long enough for me to tear it a new one with my switch axe but then it acts way too fast and well if you're mid swing with a switch axe you're boned

I don't use SnS much, but I started with them and still have them. Switch Axe FTW though!
Which element is it? You can get Rough Edge, a dragon element you know, and it's easy to get
