dont need next gen dev kits. They could easily release UE4 now, and port an enhanced version later like they did with UE2.5 and UE-2 Xbox Enhance edition.

with the current version being scalable from iPhone to top end PC hardware I don't think there is a real need. The engine already supports the latest rendering tricks and an improved tool set, so they will probably just use that untill they know final hardware and can rework their engine and tailor it to the next gen.

yea but that will launch with win 8 which probably wont be released untill 2013 at this rate, I mean they havn't even shown the new UI yet and all we know is it runs on ARm and will have better multitouch support. It could be another Vista/DX10 lol...

I doubt Windows 8 will have a new UI. I mean there has already been a leaked beta/late alpha version. All I understand is there will be more ribbons instead of menu bars (which sucks), an app store, and DX12. Those are about the major selling points I can find online currently.

So bascially worthless, worthless, and basically worthless since it might not be backported to W7.
