with the current version being scalable from iPhone to top end PC hardware I don't think there is a real need. The engine already supports the latest rendering tricks and an improved tool set, so they will probably just use that untill they know final hardware and can rework their engine and tailor it to the next gen. 

Point, but we are all forgetting one thing, Direct X 12.
