The fact of the matter is you can argue every game that has and is comming out for the Wii is a "gimped" version because in theory it could have been made with better graphics on a different console if not a hypothetical "could of been" Wii with 360/PS3 power.
Silly logic? Well the only real difference here is that RE5 was actually slated for such graphics before hand so people feel as if the game suddenly now can't exist without them or will be less without them. After playing RE4 on the Wii there is no arguing that the Wii is where genres like this belong. And with the money the Wii has made Capcom on the franchise, the Wii has earned it.
