Like I said, I don't disagree, but at the same time, I'm not ruling anything out. Too often things of the past are disregarded as false, simply because they are things of the past and a lot of information has been lost on it. Think how supernatural germ theory was considered by people between Roman days and today. (I forget the roman surgeon who worked with germ theory. Famous guy too...) Heck, even after they started reusing some of the technques of sterelization, germ theory was thought to be insane. |
Well, It's come up a few times; mostly by the same group though. There's a "monthly Quran project" at my University, which is where once a month a group of muslim students roam the canteen looking for debates with other students in the hope that they convince them of the scientific merit of Islam. They've tried to explain Djinn with string theory to me several times, but it's always came accross as, er, very speculative to say the least.
Anyway, I think we're pulling from the same end of the rope here, I would never rule it out either, I would just class it as an unlikely explanation. So I think I'll stop here if that's ok.
