I wont be able to play this game until November because that's when I will update my rig. (or skip that, it won't be until well into 2012 since I'll be busy with Skyrim).

I do meet the recommended sistem requirements already with my Radeon 4850 right now but I wanna experience this game in its full glory with my new Crossfire Radeon 6950 PC.

I'll put the same issue in another order: when I'll have bought the Witcher I and II and after a while they'll start approaching the top of my backlog, I'm quite sure I'll feel again the need to upgrade my PC!    ...After all last time was at the end of 2009, for what regards computing and graphics power (while instead I obviously upgrade HDDs whenever needed).

My only issue is about monitors: I hope they'll keep on making 16:10 screens, as for serious use it's the most "horizontal" ratio I find acceptable, rather, even with a 19" 1440x900, compared to my previous 4:3 17" CRT I used at 1024x768, I often feel the need for more vertical space, while I almost never run out of horizontal pixels. For my next monitor, my first choice could be a 1920x1200 or, if I'll find a big one affordable enough, a 2560x1600.

I know what you mean about 16:10 it is the best ratio for PC monitors especially as most information on the web is still displayed more vertically than horizontally, and many games benefit from more virtical space IMO. Unfotunatly there seems to be a real push towords using 16:9 for all screens thses days.
