Why must it be one or the other? Gamecube had tons of resident evil games and i'm sure the Wii will probably get just as many IMO.

 

given both options, you would choose a wii version over the 360/ps3/PC versions? see, i don't understand that = i would love an re2 remake on for wii though :)
 Yes, for starters - if it was on the Wii the wife would play through it with me.  I chose Wii version of Tomb Raider and Simpsons for this very same reason as she refuses to pick up a 360 controller except for Geometry wars, Forza or PGR4.  I also love the Wii controls and out of both versions of RE4 I played then Wii was sooo much more fun for me personally.
