given the current performance of the hardware in japan and this statement which at least implies a 2012 release and the performance of previously wii to ps3 ports...

... it's not hard to imagine that a ps3/3DS/NPG port could be considered.  do we have any proof that it can't be ported elsewhere (like with TLS) that i'm not aware of?

 

side note: i wouldn't even have made this post if you hadn't tempted me to. xD

Iwata co-announcing the game probably indicates some sort of fealty. Plus Square Enix has to be liking Nintendo's promotional support abroad, which would dry up overnight if they jumped, though neither of those would count out the 3DS...
