I think Vista's fine as long as you're running it on a computer intended for Vista and has 2GB of RAM and a dual core. Upgrading an old machine to Vista is just awful, which is what a lot of people did.

Most people can't even make a valid argument on why Vista sucks, but still complain. I've had no gripes with it personally other than it being a resource hog compared to XP.

Excessive resource usage is what it is. Compare it to its close sis, win7, and the difference becomes apparent. Even Microsoft acknowledged that when offering people free (or half price?) upgrades from certain version of vista to others for win7.
