I think you're prediction is spot on.  If someone truly thinks its going to reach 10 mil when both the first and second games are at 6.13 and 6.18 mil, respectively, they are kidding themselves.  However, it should pull off 7-7.5 mil, easily.


i'm not aware of anyone saying anything remotely like that.

7 to 8 million is pretty much certain.... which is huge!

Point?  He still thinks there could be a chance.  I highly doubt it, though.  Not given the previous games sales.

There's a chance of anything in gameing.  Hell there's a CHANCE Uncharted 3 will hit 10 million.  Do I think it will?  No but that doesn't descredit theres a chance it could happen.

And we are talking about a franchise in Gears of War that has already been proven to have mega franchise potential.  I don't think it will hit 10 million units sold, more like somewhere between 7 - 8 million units.  But I do think there's about a roughly 10% chance it could crack that 10 million sold barrier, especially with very little competition this year in terms of exclusive games to go against and the COD franchsie finally shrinking.  I don't really see this years COD doing MW2 or Black Ops numbers.  Not to mention the Beta is going to cause huge buzz for the game.
