Sorry to crush your theory, but I don't have impaired vision.

You have if you can't see 3D in 3DS properly, your not used to seeing 3D with no glasses for a start.

Actually, you are not supposed to see the 3ds image as 3d. If you see, there is something wrong with you. ;P

It's called 3DS because it displays 3D graphics, if I can see 3D then it's obviously working, that's like saying if I was told to look at a blue bbox and I can see a blue box then thee must be somethign right with me.

Do you know why you see it as 3d? Because your brain is unable to distinguish the 2 images. I would call that a problem.

I see 3D because my right eye sees one image and my left eye sees another image and by looking at the image with both eyes your brain puts them together to make a 3D image.

advice, bad trolls are bad, if you have good eyes, you can actually control whether or not you can see the 3D. It's all perception, if you can't see it and you have good eyes, you can train your eyes to see them, I can see the 3D on the 3DS from lowest 3D setting to the max with 0 issues because I've had a 3DTV for awhile now and the 3DS actually works better than my Bravia, that or the 3DS has lesser depth since the TV can really stress your eyes more in my experience. If your eyes can't see 3D at all, you most likely have really bad stigmatism and should see an eye doctor about it.
