How can a game like socom out pre-order KZ3 despite less hype?!

In my experience SOCOM is fairly popular with older men.  Not really the type to be posting on message boards, but then again I'm not sure if they'd be pre-ordering either.

The beta is pretty good from what I've heard as well.  I should try it out.
