"Bricking" would refer to very serious failures, usually affecting FW incorrectly rewrited or updated, not recoverable by the common user just reastarting or at worst reinstalling SW or FW, and not happening only when and as long as a subset of the SW available is used, so not this case (although I used it just to joke about the misunderstandings about the actual problem, but guess what, I was misunderstood too 
).
