True, but i was using the 1 million extra units as a basic example, i was just stating that due to the price difference there would be an advantage for PS2. 100,000 may not seem like a lot, but when you concider the fact that there are always shortages at launch, it could play a role in the outcome.

As for the 3DS accessories, i highly doubt things such as screen protectors, car chargers, stylus pens will be high sellers on 1st day launch and will not contribute to 1st day sales. Those are things to concider a year off, not on the first day. The extra controllers, and memory cards for the PS2 however are without a doubt an advantage to the sales. Remember, the PS2 is for multi play....it is a console for 1 - 4 players. If you have 2 children, you probably would have bought an extra controller and a memory card.....things 3DS doesnt have. It doesnt matter how you look at it, it is a disadvantage for the 3DS. I don't wanna make a big deal of this, it's just a fun prediction. I just think it would have been better to compare unit sales.

It's not a big deal at all; it's all about fun predictions.  I was merely pointing out that the particular figure you gave was far from correct.

I completely agree that the PS2's peripherals would amount to more revenue than the 3DS' accessories will.  On that subject I too believe that the 3DS would be at a disadvantage.

And as far as directly comparing unit sales they will be very relevant, and ultimately acknowledged, as Nintendo will surely provide exact figures.  But as far as shortages being an issue, remember that there's a reported 1.6m systems shipping to NA by the end of March, most of which presumably for launch day.  And with 1.2m pre-orders reported for NA and Europe, it will depend heavily on how many of these are strictly NA.

Either way, it will be extremely close to, if not more than PS2's $250m.
