Scribblenauts is mostly a puzzle game which basically requires you to type in the name of, say and object to complete the puzzle and reach a Starite at the end. ie - cat is stuck in a tree. type in ladder to rescuse the cat etc etc. As you progress in the game the puzzles get harder as you'd expect.
If you're looking forward to OoT, try playing Okamiden, its very similar to Zelda with its structure and gameplay, but also its pretty and just generally a fun game :)
