Anyway onto the pro's...so far (will be updated in more posts as I play on): - The gameplay structure with the world map n so on...there is great variety in what you do. - Comic relief.... some of the tutorial pages are funny like Jihl and Yaag's fight in the tutorial, Kefka saying you spoony bard in a sentence etc, Wakka saying, "sorry if you thought I was rikku" etc... This is pure fan service! - Music PLACEMENT -- Like Archlytte Steppe from FFXIII used on the world map when you play as Lightning, it gives a great feeling of nostalgia (though XIII is only 1 year old) and memories of roaming the plains of Gran Pulse. And the FF12 themes...I never did like the soundtrack of FF12 but the theme when Vaan is on the world map and in dungeons makes me remember of the music and gets me liking it again in a weird way from the sheer good memories of playing FF12 coming back. I CANNOT wait to hear Laguna's battle theme music in his scenario and use of FF8 themes as I love that games soundtrack a lot. - GRHHAPHIXZ --- Great as expected - Gameplay -- pretty good with a variety of ways to play - Great value like Mirson said - Lightning and Vaan.....both have been great so far
Con's: - Useless/Misleading stuff.... example Lightning has a MEDIC paradigm which doesn't do anything! I went on it and she just attacked normally so why call it "medic". There were a few more examples like chain forming...maybe this will be useful later to get KP but I just think its been added as a gimmick...sure the cure/stat power up things are useful but these "chains" sound useless to me so far. - Story.... My brain will implode if I talk about this its not that bad but lol - Terra..... why the hell have they turned Terra into a half mute, dumb bimbo....she was not like this is FF6. Anyway hopefully this will change as I progress through the game but I can't believe this is the 3D representation of Terra. I shudder to think what the FF6 3D Remake will re-visualize Terra as. - Reports..... I hate it when one of the special events is meant to be played in a battle but you need to spend PP to unlock the character AND level he/she up...its just a bother really - Lightning hasn't punched anyone yet _____ Not many cons yet |
