>.< thats stupid as hell... why the hell didnt they call it low, medium, and high. I guess Crytek was trying to show off with their little DX9 game...? Seriously, this doesnt even have DX10 support... which is pathetic since the first was DX10 only! And actually since DX11 is out Crytek should have not been lazy as hell and supported it!

Honestly, I am not trying to talk up Crysis 2 in this thread, I never would, the game is average as hell and does not deserve any praise. I just figured I'd show that really the 360/PS3 versions are actually fairly close in visuals to this pos. Crytek sold their souls and made a worse looking and playing game than the original Crysis. And this actually shows why they shouldn't make sequels at all, which they never have till Crysis.

Cysis was DX9 with a DX10 only needed for the highest setting...

If Crytek forgot to add numerous graphics options into the PC version ofCrysis 2, modders have found the solution. A modder has released an extreme graphics autoexec.cfg file. It was pretty known by Crysis 1 and Warhead gamers to optimize many details of the game. You were able to change the Depth of Field or Field of View.

You can set up many details and customize your graphics as you want with this autoexec.cfg version. It requires a NASA PC to run hardcore ultra max settings (460GTX, i7 minimum). But you can also use it with a weaker PC to enable or disable shadows, motion blur or water effects to improve your performances!

Here are the modder’s intruction to install the mod:

1. Once you have unzipped the files place them anywhere you want.

2. Delete any autoexec.cfg files found in the Crysis 2 root folder. (if you’re asking what that is, don’t worry about it)

3. Delete any target commands you may have put on the shortcut as they will override the autoexec.cfg that is created

4. Run the Crysis2AdvancedGraphicsOptions.exe

5. Hit apply once all settings are set

*note* You do not have to start this program every time you want to play Crysis 2.

If you meet any troubles with the mod (low FPS and so), you can delete the autoexec.cfg file and reset your graphics again.
