So the vacation is more important than financing his legal fees? Donations or no donations, those legal fees need to be given higher financial priority over a vacation.
EDIT: Also, do you honestly think that everyone who honestly and reasonably believe that geohot is in the wrong, morally and legally, all hate him?

He already stated he got plenty from the donations for legal fees. Any left over donations after the legal fees are paid will be donated. He had already paid for the vacation. I assumed you hated him cause you seem to have no other reason to accuse him of using the donations for a vacation.

I can assume you wanted him to win because you are anti-Sony/PS3. But I'm taking the high road while not accussing you of being too gulible and taking things for face value.

Ok. Fight for my rights as a consumer. Since I pay for games at new retail price, I'm entitled to a hack free online experience since the developers did not intend for their games to be hacked by yahoos. Also as a consumer who legitimately supports the gaming industry, I should not be penalized by developers passing the cost to me from lost sales of pirated games because of piraters. There are many ways to combat this. And one way included is to stop the public distribution of "tools" that allow individuals to hack games, compromising the enjoyment of the online experience and tools that take away the financial incentives for developers to develop games for the enjoyment of gamers (consumers). Fight for that, but all you are going to do is make excuses by turning a blind eye because this fight for consumers also happen to favor Sony in this case. Personal agenda over the consumers first, right? You're not fooling anyone.

Again have you even read this lawsuit? I feel like a broken record. I will do it in caps this time. SONY IS NOT SUEING FOR PIRACY OR FOR HACKING THE PSN. SONY IS NOT SUEING FOR PIRACY OR HACKING THE PSN. I said it twice on purpose. Sony can sue all the PSN hackers and pirates it wants to. It can not sue somebody for hacking their own devices. Geohot did not do anything to affect your user experience as a consumer, that was all done by other people that SONY IS NOT SUEING. Please read the lawsuit. This is about Geohot hacking his own Ps3 and telling others how to do the same, ie jailbreaking and iphone which is perfectly legal. Its sony's job to secure their network, you would think they would go after those hacking it then huh?
