Women had equal rights under the Soviet Union. Soviet Union had plenty of female soldiers and assassins. Communism was more socially progressive than American Capitalist system. Women's roles were stuck as domestics under the American Capitalist system up until the 1960s. The Feminist revolution of the 1960s and 1970s fought for equality for women. African-Americans had to fight for civil rights and voting rights during the 1960s. Minority groups and women were not segregated under Communism.
Capitalism is more socially conservative than Communism. Communists believes in equal rights for all people regardless of their differences of gender, ethnicity or religion. Communism does not discriminate. You are treated equally by the State so long as you work for the benefit of the State.
