THe difference is Apple does this with a product that is not unique. i.e. their computers are no different than the hundreds of other PCs and with that you can get a Windows or Linux based PC for far less money that has far better hardware.
3DS is unique. It only has one other competitor and that item is still significantly different. If 10 other manufacturers put out 3D enabled portables with similar or better capabilities than the 3DS and they were $100 cheaper, then I would cry foul as well.
