well....

I spoke too soon....

As I said earlier, I thought Japan sales would plummet after what happened there,

but....

Media Create sales are out and the PS3 sold 26k hardware

huh??

Apparently, it was only a small portion of Japan that was directly affected by the Earthquake/Tsunami

so....

now I revise my predictions

instead of the 360 tying or slightly outselling the PS3 in WW weekly hardware sales, I see the PS3 beating the 360 in weekly WW hardware for the near future.....

If MS didn't have Kinect, it would be even worse for MS....

And I don't see Sony cutting the price of the PS3 in the near future.

Why should Sony cut the price when they've outsold the 360 in weekly WW hardware every week this year, except for one week....

unless MS cuts the price of the 360 first, otherwise no price cut....

I could see Sony being tempted to price cut a bit, particularly if they thought it would spur further growth in US.  Or as you say MS might price cut to try and break the deadlock, which would probably force a response from Sony.

The Wii really looks like it needs something though.  I mean, relative only to it's early sales profile.  Even dropping as it is it's still well ahead LTD so far and not that far behind in weekly sales and it has the best holiday sales, so I guess Nintendo could let it run through to the holidays, but I feel they should try and slow the YOY drop a bit.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
