Hell yes! Mario Kart looks incredible.
On the topic of snaking, I wasn't a fan either but at the same time I like having to work for my turbo boosts instead of making them automatic on turns just so noobs can keep up; that's what the unpredictability of the items is for. But as long as it's as great a game as the DS version, that's all I really care about.
