It could work with just a pokéball card. You point at the card and choose your Pokémon.

hope they don't and do do that.  would have been cool if my pokemon cards i had when younger were able to be used like this.  where you set out your pokemon card and play that way, yet now i would not want that cause of how much money it would cost.  imean hell there are like 600 pokemon.  thats way too many cards to have to want to get.  cost like thousands of dollars.
